Log your hours

Your timesheet is per studio. Teaching at two studios means two drafts on two pages.

Log the time you worked

Sidebar → Timesheets · /studios/{studioId}/timesheets

  1. Open Timesheets. Your open sheet is the "Current draft" card — "Hours accumulate here until you submit them".
  2. Click Log hours. The dialog explains the scope: "Record time you worked at this studio. Hours do not need to match a scheduled class."
  3. Set the Date. You cannot log a future date.
  4. Choose how to enter the time: the "Start & end" tab takes a Start time and End time; the Duration tab takes Hours and Minutes instead.
  5. Add an optional Note — for example "Covered the 4pm Little Dragons class".
  6. Click Log hours. Entries cap at 24 hours each.
  • An empty draft reads "No hours logged yet. Use “Log hours” to add your first entry."
  • Rows in the draft can be edited ("Edit entry") or removed, with a "Remove this entry?" confirmation.

Submit it for review

  1. When the draft is right, click Submit timesheet. The button is disabled while the draft is empty.
  2. Confirm in the dialog — it shows the entry count and total, and warns that entries lock once submitted.
  3. You get "Timesheet submitted to {studio}".
  • Once submitted, entries are locked until the studio reviews them. Any new hours you log afterwards start a fresh draft automatically.
  • A returned sheet comes back as a "Returned for changes" card with the studio’s reason at the top. Fix the entries and use Resubmit.
  • The "Submitted timesheets" card is your history — "Everything you have sent to {studio}. Submitted sheets are locked."

Open a timesheet you have already sent

Sidebar → Timesheets · /studios/{studioId}/timesheets

The History and View buttons open a single timesheet on its own page. It is where the trail lives, and where the studio’s reason sits when a sheet comes back.

  1. Open Timesheets and find the sheet under “Submitted timesheets” — “Everything you have sent to {studio}. Submitted sheets are locked.”
  2. Click View. The page shows the entries as submitted, the status, and a History card: “Every submission and decision, with who made it and when.”
  3. If it came back, read “Reason from {studio}” at the top — “Fix the entries below and resubmit.”
  • Submitting emails everyone at your studio who can review timesheets, with the subject “{your name} submitted a timesheet”. Their decision emails you back.
  • While a sheet is with the studio its entries are locked: “Entries are locked while {studio} reviews this timesheet. Hours you log now go on a new draft.” So you are never blocked from recording today’s work.
  • The entry rules, in the words the form uses: “Work date cannot be in the future.”, “An entry cannot exceed 24 hours.”, “Hours on a single day cannot exceed 24.”, “End time must be after start time.”, and “Log at least one entry before submitting.”
