Create and publish an event
Sidebar → Events · /studios/{studioId}/events
- Open Events and click Create event.
- Fill in Title, Date and Starts. Ends, Location, Capacity, Price, Description and a cover image are all optional.
- Capacity is worth setting: “When the limit is reached the public page shows ‘Full’ and stops taking registrations.”
- Decide whether to list it. “List in the events directory” is on by default; the Directory audience is either “All Catomni users” or “This studio’s members only”.
- Click Create draft. Events start as drafts — “Publish from the event page when it is ready to share.”
- Open the event and click Publish.
- Creating, editing, publishing, unpublishing and cancelling all need the class-management permission — owner and admin by default. Instructors and front desk see the Events page but none of those controls.
- Cancelling is terminal: “A cancelled event cannot be reopened. Create a new event instead.” The public page then says the event is cancelled and stops taking registrations.
- You cannot unpublish once anyone holds a seat: “People have already registered. Cancel the event instead of unpublishing it.”
- Cancelling does NOT email the people who registered. Tell them yourself.
- A past event is locked: “This event has already happened and can no longer be edited.”
- Cover images are JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 5 MB.
